I am Carolien, married to Simon and mother of 3 children: Lilian, Nova and Joas. In addition, I am a midwife; a beautiful profession, which I am happy to do every day. After graduating, I worked in various midwifery practices in Groningen and Friesland. At Nova Verloskundigen Groningen I can provide small-scale and personal care. I get to know pregnant women (and their partners) from the very beginning of pregnancy until a few weeks after giving birth. It’s wonderful to experience this special phase in life with them and to be able to support them as best as I can.
Good care is tailored care and as a small midwifery practice, with only two midwives, we can offer that. Together with Laetitia I strive to guide you in a way that suits you, because everyone is different and every pregnancy and birth is unique. I enjoy the special bond that develops over the months with the pregnant woman and her partner. In addition to being a midwife, I am also an ultrasound technician. I can do all the basic ultrasounds myself. It’s a nice addition to the profession; taking a peek at the little one in your belly!

I am Laetitia, married to Pieter and mother of Asher since January. I worked in Friesland for several years, but as a native Groninger, I wanted to live and work here. As a midwife and sonographer, I am fortunate to be able to assist people during a very special period in their lives.
From an early age on I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth and over the years I have witnessed the arrival of many babies. Each time I am still amazed by the miracle of new life, but also by the strength of the woman in labor and the close bond between parents and child when a new family member is welcomed.
From the moment I started midwifery, I knew I wanted to work in a small practice. This makes it possible to really get to know expectant parents and to be able to respond adequately to their wishes and needs. As a sonographer, I am also allowed to take a look inside the belly during pregnancy, together with expectant parents. It’s always a special moment, when we can already get to see and know the little one! Midwifery has my heart and I am honored to be able to guide you through all the new, intense and intense moments in this unique period.
